Broader access to participation in technological wealth
A credible contributor economy could allow research cooperatives, small inventors, lawful data custodians and independent teams to negotiate shares of future revenue based on actual agreements. It could help make the origin of important intellectual assets more visible. It could preserve competing ownership models rather than requiring every participant to transfer all rights to a central exchange operator.
This outcome would depend on reasonable contract terms, affordable technical participation, dispute procedures, meaningful privacy choices and competition. A system in which only a few large buyers can acquire exclusive control over useful knowledge may reproduce the concentration it seeks to address. Portability, clear governance and actual contributor choice are therefore not decorative features; they affect whether the resulting economy spreads opportunities or narrows them.
