BOUNDARY TECH GENERATION

LEVEL 2 —YOUNG BUILDERS

AGES 9–11

Level 2 helps children move from simple exploration into real project building. Participants begin creating multi-level games, interactive app interfaces, programmed robots and sensor-based activities with increasing independence and supportive teamwork.

ASK ABOUT LEVEL 2 WORKSHOPS

Block-based game development

Build multiple levels, scoring and rules with visual programming.

Basic app interfaces

Design tappable screens and features that users can try.

Programmable robots

Assemble and programme beginner robots for physical challenges.

Sensors & simple circuits

Use buttons, movement or distance sensors in practical projects.

What participants do

REAL PROJECTS. REAL SKILLS.

Young Builders follow a project plan, use visual code to solve problems, create a functional app layout and test a small robot. Children decide what their project should do, build it in stages, identify problems and use feedback to improve it. Collaboration and increasing independence are encouraged.

PROJECT OUTCOME

Build a multi-level game, an interactive app or a working programmable robot.

HANDS-ON · REAL-WORLD · CREATIVE

EXAMPLE PROJECTS

Participants choose a project appropriate to their experience, interest and confidence.

Robot Challenge Course

Build and program a small robot to navigate a simple course with sensors.

PROJECT OUTCOMEBuild a multi-level game, an interactive app or a working programmable robot.

WORKSHOP FORMAT8 guided sessions · approximately 60–75 minutes each

FOR PARENTSDesigned for children ready for greater responsibility, structured challenges and teamwork. Guided tasks encourage patience, debugging, creative choices and confidence with real projects.

FROM THE FIRST IDEA TO A FINISHED CREATION

THE WORKSHOP PLAN

8 guided sessions · approximately 60–75 minutes each. Session outlines are proposed and may be tailored to the actual group and venue.

  1. 01Choose a game, app or robot challenge
  2. 02Sketch the project and its features
  3. 03Build the first working version
  4. 04Add levels, screens or sensor input
  5. 05Make controls and rules respond correctly
  6. 06Test with a partner and log improvements
  7. 07Improve reliability and presentation
  8. 08Demonstrate the finished build

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WORK WITH

Shared laptop or tablet, block-based game tools, an introductory app builder, beginner robotics kit with safe motors and sensors, and a supervised challenge table.

SAFE, SUPPORTED LEARNING

Use only age-appropriate low-voltage robotics kits; supervise small parts and moving mechanisms. Do not publish apps or collect personal information without parental authorization.

BTG Builder — Young digital engineers

Young Builders can follow finite digital kit inventories, test matching connections and explore Free Build with the same approved parts. They learn to find and correct connection mistakes. Proposed workshop extension; not a public app release.
