What makes BTG's approach different from a simple AI or data marketplace
An AI marketplace ordinarily provides models or AI-powered services. A data marketplace ordinarily lists information or access products. A software component repository distributes code. An investment platform connects issuers with money. BTG's architecture is broader because it joins all of these roles to a persistent record of knowledge, executable functionality, evidence and authority.
A successful invention need not stay inside the laboratory that produced it. It can be reconstructed, packaged as a controlled capability, checked against its source and rights, assembled with other capabilities, used under licence, assessed for commercial usefulness and - through a separate lawful financial structure - become part of a business's capital-raising case. A failed experiment also has a place, because a known failure can help another researcher avoid wasting resources.
The distinguishing feature is not simply that data may be bought or sold. It is the continuity between how useful knowledge is produced, what proves it works, which rights survive its reuse, and how economic value can support further invention.
